Well Buddhism comes in several flavors as well, though it differs as it is more a philosophy than a religion. Buddhism is primarily about coming into an understanding of oneself and the world in which you live and are a part of. The means to achieve this enlightenment differ (hence the variety of Buddhis practices), though all look up to Buddha not necessarily as a God but rather as a paragon of enlightenment or the example-setter/proof it can be done. Somewhat like Jesus to Christianity.
Hinduism is actually the originator of Buddhism (like Judism is to Christianity), though the difference is that it focuses more on one's place in society both real and cosmic (through karma) and the fact that you can't attain nirvana until you have lived many lives and proved yourself worthy to the various gods to do so.
Thus far, this has been my journey through life:
0-10: 1 11-14: 2 15-18: 12 19-22: 11 23+: 10...ish. It's difficult to explain in a sentence hahaha.
