on saturday i made a collage out of magazine cut-outs, just like in middle school. it was just as fun as i had remembered. later, i went to chilis with laura and ordered the big mouth smokehouse bacon jalepeno cheeseburger, which probably burned straight through my stomach lining

Was there a reason for the magazine cutouts or was it just for fun? I kind of always want to make collages for fun, but never take the time. There was even this thing on venuszine.com that showed how to make a flower vase into a magazine cut out vase that seemed cool. Again, never got to doing it.

i attended a curated tour of an exhibit at the humanities archive i volunteer at. it was all about this collage artist named jess, and afterward they had laid out a bunch of magazines and scissors and glue to make yer own collage.

mine wasn't nearly as awesome as his were.

i wonder if any of them ever return to their former ways after their sojourn, in this day and age. the numbers got to be pretty low.

also, it's probably the coolest fucking system any religion ever has in place.
however, i wonder how they know about the liars/no age?

i'm thinking they were from one of the more "relaxed" mennonite groups? i dunno, there seems to be different levels, and while these kids were naive in some ways, they were pretty pop culture saavy and had their hipster garb down.

also, one of them was latino, which makes for an interesting mesh. mexican mennonites in middle america? i smell another documentary.
