Another Anthrocon

This year's Anthrocon was a great deal of fun but it has come to an end. I've only a short time ago wished my last guest safe journey and now I am home alone with the dogs for a day of rest before I return to my job ( Read more... )

Sounds like you really had a great con and time with friends both at AC and at home. I look forward to seeing more of the art as you always seem to get some fantastic pieces.

Me too! The Rodents panel had two dozen people this year. Let's go for three or four next year! :-)

Um, it's like this. As a rock collector, I have to tell your friend that malachite is a very brittle stone and no one would ever use it in a spear - it would break on the first strike. Jade, however, is so strong that ancient people used it for anvils. I suggest it as an alternate green stone that would actually be functional.

Nuts... Malachite has a much richer green shade than jade. Still, thanks for the input.
