I really don't know what to say about what happened to Minister Shacklebolt, except that this must be awful for everyone and his family especially, but that doesn't really seem to capture how serious and sad this whole thing is, does it? And Dad says that Mum's really worried about us right now, and of course she's hearing all sorts of awful ( Read more... )

That description could have been anyone, especially taking into account that they could have used a disguise.

Oh, I guess you're right there. It was really vague, wasn't it? I wonder why no one bothered to stop him if he really did look so suspicious though.

People never do what makes sense.

'Never' is a bit harsh, isn't it? Although I guess no one seems to have done anything that made sense in this case. Do you think the Aurors will catch him? I wonder what Dad's parents would have done if --

The person was probably polyjuiced. Can't trust fucking descriptions.

Oh, I didn't think about that either. Magic really complicates things, doesn't it? If you're right, then I hope that the wrong person doesn't get caught just because the real criminal who did it happened to take a hair or whatever else from the poor bloke. We really don't need something like that right now, do we?

Maybe it was Wexler in retaliation to those rumours that they were going to replace him.

That's horrible. And how would that stop him from being replaced?

Most people are probably preoccupied with the Minister's death.

But they'd have to get around to it eventually, right? And if he did it and they catch him, wouldn't he end up being in gaol? I don't think you can be the head of a Ministry department if you're in gaol.

That man sounds like a DETECTIVE on a cartoon series I used to watch at home!

You don't think it might be him, might it? Well, probably not, but maybe the criminal was inspired by it?

Maybe if they watch Muggle toons!

Wouldn't that be sort of ironic for a blood purist?

I don't know anybody by that description, but it would surprise me if anything came of it anyway.

I'm all right, I I'll be all right soon, I think.

You're probably right, I think. It's too bad it's such a vague description. But I'm sure we can still hope for the very best and that the Aurors will catch someone soon! They're very clever, after all.

Do you need any help with anything? I heard they're going to be giving your prefects a lot to do over the next while.
