So I'm determined to go to each and every class this week because I've been skipping too many recently. I'll let you know how that goes.
Okay, I knew from the start that the Emmys were crap simply due to the fact that they completely snubbed Veronica Mars, but even so... dear lord. I only watched a bit of the actual ceremony because it was painfully boring, but looking at the results:
First off, Felicity Huffman won the award from Lead Actress in a Comedy Series? I'm sorry, but no. She's a fine actress, but her character is obnoxiously boring on the show, and she has really been given no chance to actually shine on the show, so I have no idea why she won. Still, I suppose it's better than Teri Hatcher, whose habit of falling over at least once an episode became tedious about three episodes into the season.
Everybody Loves Raymond won for Comedy Series -- are you KIDDING me? For one thing, that show's already got more awards than it deserves. I don't care if it was its last season, it's nowhere near as good as Arrested Development, or Desperate Housewives for that matter. And to salt the wound, Brad Garrett and Doris Roberts won AGAIN. Ugh.
And Sandra Oh should've totally won.
Kristen Bell's rendition of "Fame" was hilarious -- cheesy as hell, but appropriately so. I love her. I should make her a Matty award and send it to her.
I really, really want some French toast.
