man have you ever read that study where people could understand and read text when the beginning and end of words was left the same but they jumbled all of the letters in the middle? it was really cool

There was also one done in Ireland about two years ago that showed that texting is potentially having an impact on things like students' ability to elaborate on things because they're getting so used to thinking in brief chunks rather than longer answers.

Also no matter how hard I tried I could not get some of my students to stop using that bullshit in their classwork.
