Do you really need that long of a battery life? I've had mine for over a year and only used about 150 cycles (and my battery was defective, so the guy at the store took pity on me and gave me a new one for free.) 5 hours is a looooong time, and its not very good for your computer to be unplugged for that long all the time anyway. Just things to think about, 'cause 800 is a lot of money.
Well, I could go both ways with that. In all honesty I could.
If I were to use it for the purpose intended, recording, I'd like to have the longer battery life because of the amount of "work" it would put the computer through. So I would like to have the buffer zone of being able to record longer without having to plug it in.
Granted I am not going to be recording 24/7 and it will probably be used just as much as anyone else, so then the battery wouldn't really make that much of a difference unless I am traveling and do not want to plug it in at the airport.
I don't really know.
Such is life. I was content with the 15" until I heard about the battery life. It's just like I'm trained to do.
