I said one little comment...can't anyone compliment anyone anymore without everyone assuming that I want something out of it.

Yes, plenty of people can compliment others without causing others to assume there's a reason for the compliment. You lack the ability to be suave, or you do want something out of it.

Be honest now, we know it's both. Even if you won't admit one of them... or both even.
