Not that I'm doing much, but I hope some of you are.

I'll try to make up for it next year, once things are more stable. I hereby promise to carve at least five pumpkins next year, unless something very pressing comes up.

HiMatt! Daniel had trouble getting in for me to write ypu. The boys are 20 now.
Sorry you don't feel at home where you are. Perhaps you will get the transfer to Michigan and won't have to travel so long to weork. Or maybe you could read on the train or enjoy the commute more somehow. I hope that work is going well. With that long commute you are not home lkong enough to keep a pet. We are all busy also. School seems hard to me this time around. You just might like to get your masters just to do something different. What happened to the bookstore date. That would at least get a friend.

Looking forward to the possibility of seeing you and the others soon. I'll try to make the Kaya on Sundays a couple times a month. I'll know more about moving in two weeks. Keep an eye on my journal. And try updating yours. :-)

I actually do read on the train, but I don't like the crowds. Everyone is too hurried, with a dull glaze. I'm worried that I'm turning into a hurried zombie just like them. Michigan, southern, is probably more my style. Lansing has plenty of things to do, but I can live near the outskirts (later on) and enjoy some quiet as well. OR maybe I'll settle near Ann Arbor and have access to there, Lansing, and Detroit for work. Who knows what the future will bring.

Oh, and the bookstore date went well. We were going to meet up again, but I had to work. Then came the transfer, and, well... I didn't want to lead her on, so I explained everything is we drifted apart. I don't want to start a relationship that doesn't have a chance at being long term; I hate saying goodbye.
