How do you feel if someone listens to you, especially one of your failings, and they respond with "You're only human." How does that make you feel?

I think it depends on what that failing is... and that response is only slightly more condescending than "what are you doing about it?"

They meant well. It was supposed to be a reason to excuse errant behavior.
