PSP Go...to Hell.

I recently read a thread at The Tails Realm (s6.zetaboards.com/The_Tails_Realm/index) involving information about the release of the PlayStation Portable Go (PSP Go).  Basically, this is a PSP without the optical drive; it just downloads whole games from the PlayStation Network (PSN) to 16 GB of internal flash memory.  I find this idea incredulous ( Read more... )

heh, sorry was just lurking but when I say the title of your post I had to read it... >.>

I completely agree with you, especially about the physical media thing. I like actually owning something and I think in this day and age people are to easily giving up that right just for convenience.

I don't mind digital downloads, but I want to be able to have the option for physical ownership as well. Digital distribution is for sure going to be the way of the future, but we're not ready to go mainstream with it.

Heh, I'm just as bitter myself about this. I personally think the successors to disks should be running on flash cards myself, like the DS does. Going all digital is going to screw a lot of people over. Especially those who don't have wireless internet or have download caps.
