I like the idea of a slow cooker. I've been considering this for a while. My main resistance is feeling transient. I'm always aware that my time in LA is limited. I'm planning on returning to TX soon. I just don't know exactly how soon, whether that's january or June. I'm starting to have anxiety about acquiring stuff that I have to move.

Generally, I eat off of salad plates or saucers. I like the smaller sizes in general. I find that the rice bowls that one gets at Chinese restaurants are perfect sized bowls. I do have two regular sized dinner plates, but they often remain in the cupboard. I measure everything -- this annoying trend began a few months ago. It makes food really unappetizing. Budgeting anything makes it feel like a chore -- whether that's money, food, time, or energy. :(

Great image of you and your offspring playing with rice paper :) I've never used rice paper and will have to look into it.

Actually, yes. I'm on campus on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I teach at 8am and attend a lecture at 2, but in between those hours, I usually just hang out in my office and grade papers or work or whatever. I'll be there next week. How about you, are you on campus? We should have sushi at the UV or coffee at Starbucks or something. I haven't actually seen you in person in so long! It would be lovely to catch up. :)
