Hi, Yuletide Author!
Hope you have a wonderful time, and I'm sure I'll love whatever you write for me. :D
Things I generally like
I am in to: politics, bureaucracy, banter, shenanigans, generalised misanthropy, terrible sexual puns, people liking each other, and people being good at what they do. I'm down with people having sex with whoever they like, in whatever permutations they like, at whatever time they like, so long as everyone involved or who witnesses such event is cool with it. I'm also totally cool with gen!
Things I generally do not like
I am not so much in to: nonconsensual sex or sex where the consent is dubious or otherwise impaired, dislike of one or more groups of people for characteristics they possess, and humiliation (seriously, my embarrassment squick is a mile wide). I also don't like infidelity (though negotiated polyamory is fine by me!).
Rivers of London-Ben Aaronovitch
EVERYONE IS GREAT!!! Um, I'd love to see more of Leslie and her motivations, or maybe something about how magic is coming back to London? IDK. I feel like the city itself is such a character in the series; and Peter (and his family) are great; and Nightingale is a delight. This is not helpful!
Discworld-Terry Pratchett
All the characters I picked - Susan, Vetinari, Vimes, and Von Lipwig - are great because they Get Shit Done. Feel free of course to populate the world with anyone else from the series you like, because I like them all, but I'd love to see something with some or all of these characters Getting Shit Done.
Cotillion-Georgette Heyer
Freddie is my favourite Heyer hero. I'd say I wished I was lying, but that would be untrue. He's just so good at what he does! I'd love to see future fic with Kitty and Freddie, or something with Freddie and his dad, or maybe Freddie and his own son.
The Changeover-Margaret Mahy
Again, I'd love future fic: what're Laura and Sorry up to now? Is Sorry working for the Department of Conservation as a ranger while Laura follows her dreams? Do they go to uni? Are they still together? Questions from my childhood still unanswered!
