There have been so many things going on... I need to take a deep breath, think about where I am and what I'm doing, and, of course, upload it to my journal before it passes through the sieve of my memory into entropy.

After the wedding reception for C's mom, we kicked off our California tour with a casual sifter dinner in San Diego.

stop by Ranger HQ at center camp to say hi! i'll be there most days between 11am and 5pm.

we're camped on the other end of the world from you, but if i make it over to Tokyo, i'll pop in to say hullo.

Open camping near 7:15 and D (I've got early arrival so hopefully I should be able to snag space).

Applecore is playa art - I asked for it to be placed nearish the esplanade but I still have no idea where it actually is yet. It's a 7-foot-wide video ball on a 3-foot-high purple base, should be hard to miss. :)

Yah, I don't know where they'll want me to put the Oracle booth either. But it's been known to wander from its assigned spot to where it wants to be.

I'll keep my eye out for Applecore.

Berkeley hills,

I've always wondered what Jaron Lanier is like. moonaysl spent the night on his couch once too.

Look for the seven foot diameter E8 root system. :)

OMG, why am I not surprised. That's perfect!

By the way... heard you got another round of funding from FQXI, congrats.

I'll be at 3:30 and Dart this year.

It is a very distinguished couch. It's also a bit tricky to find.

I am very happy I got the second FQXi grant. I was kind of worried, since I wrote the proposal during the heliskiing trip.

I'll try to look for you at freedomcommunity -- stop by the dome or the Oracle booth if you get a chance.

Hey we will almost be neighbors..... I will be at 8:30 and Esplanade in the Hive Village with Autosub (look for a big white cube with a head on it and many quonset huts)....... I have an LN2 delivery lined up for sometime mid-week. There will be ice-cream :)
