I believe there must be some kind of creator if only because the idea of "everything coming from nothing" or just accepting "the universe always just was" sounds even CRAZIER than the idea of a creator

As of late I've come to feel the reverse, that believing in a creation/creator is the crazier of the two. And I understand that the default belief of the oldest cultures was more cyclical in sentiment than linear. Luckily craziness is not a quality I'm against in ideas. For now I continue to choose to see creation as having a linear start...but I combine that conception with a notion of spiral repetition going on at all levels. I like the domino metaphor.
