Paramore, Misery Business

I'm not sure i've heard this song played once on DC radio, but when I was living in LA, I heard it on KROQ about 4 times a day (not coincidentally, Paramore played KROQ's Almost Acoustic Christmas, which happened while I was out there), and I completely warmed up to this song. Am interested to hear the whole record, but I'm betting it's going to be disappointing compared to this one track.

I actually think that the album largely measures up. I don't even think "Misery Business" is the best song on it.

I had Sissy Wish on my tracks list too, but went with "Yayaya" instead. My ballot sat unfinished for a several weeks until I hastily filled in the blanks this afternoon. I'm not sure I'll even remember what my bottom five albums or singles were by the time the poll is published.

Oh fuck, Sissy Wish! And I left Fall Out Boy off completely. Not sure how that happened! I mean, seriously. They needed to be in artist of the year, but somehow PATRICK WOLF ended up in there instead? OMG. I hope my tracks list isn't too trite -- it's totes from the heart

There are like at least five other active bands all over the world named Monarch. I agree that they could've picked something better, though.

Shearwater's album is called 'Rook'.

I'm hoping the Bellmer Dolls title does change. Ick.
