Squee! Someone wrote me a Yuletide Hobbit Fic!

Dec 14, 2005 08:46

So, I finally jump properly into LJ, and find so many lovely people, and meet up with some old friends as well. And just as I’m starting to feel at home among such a delightful crowd, all **** breaks loose. I try to keep my RL out of this journal but thanks to those who've been so encouraging offline when I really just wanted to crawl under my ( Read more... )

*blinks* Hiding from me? I haven't been doing anything interesting you need to catch up on. Unless one of my other personalities has been and hasn't bothered to let me in on it.

Glad you're back, though. And I'm sorry you weren't feeling well and that RL is giving you hoohaw. Hope you're well on your way to recovery and life gives you a break.

love your icon, LOL. I wouldn't call a little fic named Counterpoint uninteresting. I got all plunged into it, and into something major of notabluemaia's as well, and then fell down a RL rabbit hole. But after several weeks of angst and pain it seems to be turning unexpectedly into a *happy* rabbit hole, so I’m anxious now not to miss the whole hobbit holiday season. You will please note, however, that I have at least managed to reply to your scholarly inquiry regarding Elijah Wood’s ****s. Just in case anyone thought I could get *nothing* done.

Aw, ppffffttt. As I seem to recall mentioning before, it'll still be there if and when you eventually have the time/desire. I'm just sorry to hear that you had angst and pain but glad that you seem to be coming through it.

You will please note, however, that I have at least managed to reply to your scholarly inquiry regarding Elijah Wood’s ****s.

I'm sure I don't know what you mean. What are ****s? *blinks innocently* Shoes? Knees? Warts? Oh my gawd, does Elijah have warts?!?!

*grin*

Yes, I got your comment and I thank you sincerely for the rather lopsided enlightenment. And yes, one does have to wonder exactly how it is one becomes 'known about Wellington' for such a thing. Perhaps the peeing-in-the-fountain episode was a little more public than we've been led to believe.

Oh my no, as far as illness I actually only had an extremely bad cold - so bad that I thought for a day or two of going to the hospital, if only I weren't so allergic to hospitals. That was rough but after nearly three weeks I've nearly conquered it. But just before that, I got hit with a very angsty RL work-related situation that had me on an emotional roller coaster for over a month now. And just this week, what looked like a Very Scary Thing seems to be turning into a Quite Good Thing, and it's amazing how much better I feel. I'm still almost as busy as I was, but I'm getting more done and not getting home feeling drained and miserable ( ... )

Whew! It must have been severe to have been thinking about going into hospital. Your work situation sounds as if it was more traumatic, though. I am glad to hear things seem better. Don't worry about keeping up on anything. Nothing has happened that can't wait, in the Big Picture (or even the Little One, in most cases *silly grin*).

I'm so glad you're feeling better now, sweetie. I know it was a long hard slog, what with that nasty cold and everything else you've had going on. *hug*

Now, I'm off to read about Elijah's ****s...
