So massive update (dunno if anyone cares, but I do).
Finished the sleeves...got a fake bow, which is now covered in clay (for shape and I can make it look carved)...got shoes...and a furry prop.

So this is the summer that I really want to scream. Family has been drama...bad drama. Work still has drama (not the same thing as last time, but new drama)...and I just want it to be the 23rd so I can go back to campus.

So, my Merida costume is coming along. I've sewn the lower sleeves and one set of the strips of clothe that holds the sleeves together. It took me less time to make sleeves (40 mins for the whole thing, both hems and a seam) than it makes for the strips (40 to sew one side...and I made four of them tonight...).

So today was a geeky day.
I've decided to make a new cosplay...and not buy all the items. I'm actually sewing it. New project: Merida's green dress. I've started by ordering my wig...and buying my fabric...I also took measurements. I wish I had a dress form, but oh well.

So, the Kindle Fire sucked. I opened it...I didn't like the interface or the fact that Amazon Prime let me borrow one book per month. Fat lot of good that does me, I can read a book a week or less. So, I'm returning it and if they ask me why, I'll tell them that I was not happy with the product. Anyway, I'm trying not to be antisocial, because ( Read more... )
