Your pictures are amazing! I hope that you're having a great time and learning a lot.
School is hard, I would like to eat dinner with my cats from home, and i feel the same way about Obama.
Good luck on your project and the rest of your trip.

I love your pictures, they are beautiful and gorgeous and make me want to quit photography because I know I'll never be able to ever take a picture like that because I would never emotionally be able to do what you are doing ( ... )

never quit photography, i love your shit and your composition is always so nice and thoughtful. sighhh. i'm not really doing anything special, the people in them make them what they are. the energy and kindness of the xhosa people is unlike any i've ever experienced. it's been a long time since i have felt unappreciated, whatsoever. i'm really lucky.

is this the niece who ran to third base at tee-ball this summer? i remember you tellin' me that at b&n and me pretty much LOL'in all day, thinking about you dictating that story to customers. i bet she fuckin' loves you, you'd make the coolest aunt evar.

SEND GUINESS MY LOVE (and john too, i guess)

i am safe, and happy, and i miss you too! you are an iron woman, bailey linn. (well now you can still be mclinn, i guess. welcome back)

The most challenging thing for me right now is a tie between patiently waiting a couple more weeks for baby to come and accepting the way my body has permanently changed. I am not a vain person, but seeing the marks and lines caused by carrying an extra 40 pounds in my belly makes me cry. I know that I will forget about it when she is born and I can say "I made this!" and I will touch her little nose and know that it was totally fucking worth it.

If I could have dinner with anyone today it would definitely be Ray Charles. No explanation necessary.

Obama is the only man that means what he says wholeheartedly. I really believe that.

I love you and I want you to stay safe and happy! See you in December!
