My family was offered a deal from a guy that helped us move into our new house:

our big screen television    in exchange for    an old, red VW convertible bug

I'm contemplating it but, I'm scared the car might break down and leave me stranded some place.

Hmmm... could anyone picture me ever driving that?

Well, if it counts for anything, I spoke with Joe this evening and he informed me that he hasn't ever had any major problems with his car. He didn't have any minor problems to speak of either, so if it's in similar condition as his, it should be fine.
