Passed the second half of the final. End grade: 96%.

No classes 'til Monday!

In car news, need to stop off at an auto parts store to find out whether I need a new battery or just to have my current one charged up. Will do that tomorrow.

96% with 2 assignments at half credit, WOW.

I'm so glad you finally got the car going again. Hey, your teacher should give you extra credit for finding and fixing the short in the car wiring.

No classes 'til Monday - do you get a break like that between sections every time?

I wish you had been here to help with the bathroom wiring, but we managed. Mostly Anna did it and I just helped and ran back and forth fetching pieces and parts, gouged out plaster, etc. We will be up Saturday , October 18, for our day with Mama, so I'll see you then.

At the end of each three-month section, we have the last week. Usually, Monday is a review day, Tuesday is the final, Wednesday we come in briefly to look over the test, ask any questions we might have about it, and get our final grade for the section. Then Thursday, as a part of a school tradition, we don't show up, but we're counted as there. Fridays naturally have no class, and then Monday starts the new section.

The school tradition of not showing up on that Thursday is due to the school's old building, wherein things had to be shifted from one classroom to the other since they had to rotate out what classes were being taught. Giving the students Thursday off allowed the staff more time to shift things around. In the new building, it's not necessary (there's plenty of space for each class to have its own classroom), but it's remained.

This section, though, we got the tests and our final grades back at the end of class Tuesday, so we didn't have to show up Wednesday at all (even before, those Wednesdays were very, very short days
