Thanks for the offer, but I'll wait an see what happens with the Sac State jobs. They said it could take 4-6 weeks to process the applications, and it hasn't been that long yet. In the meantime, I can sub.

Well just let me know if you're ever interested in working in SF. We usually have 1-2 positions available at any given time (right now we have two, but they are marketing department positions).

Ok speaking as a person who's been searching for a job since....uh...I gotta check some sort of calendar here, a long time anyway. (I think June? We'll say June) No one who is hiring wants to hire anyone. This is the only conclusion I can come to. I've been a super rockstar at my interviews...the ones I could get anyway and minus the fun random retail stores there has been no interest.

And just so you know, people are applying to be random crap cashiers at Barnes and Noble with PhD's. I dunno if that makes you feel better, it just scares me.

But yeah, with regards to the interviews: lie, lie and lie some more. Really, right now, I'll take anything that pays me, I don't care if I like it or not. People like you and me will do well at any job we're in, regardless of the joy that comes of it, fuck 'em, this is war as far as I'm concerned

I've also been looking since June, though from June until August I was looking for jobs in the Washington DC area. Had I never intended to move out there, I'd still would have been looking for a job since June. I guess I've just thought that I would have gotten something by now had I been looking here the whole time. But I guess not necessarily ( ... )
