We have another on the way sometime between now and the beginning of Oct. Will be exciting to see her, to see who she becomes. And Boo is very happy to have a little sister.
I think so too, but a father's eyes often see beauty where others don't. Thank you for the comment. She actually gets told often when we are out that she is a beautiful little girl. I wonder at times how that will affect her later. I also wonder what will happen if the new baby isn't as beautiful in the eyes of others
( ... )
That's awful, bless her heart. What is wrong with people? My girls have been told by us so often that they are beautiful that they know it--not in a vain way, really, just matter-of-fact. But some day some moron boy will tell one of them that she isn't beautiful and her world will crash. And then I'll go after him with a hammer and well, nevermind. Like Matilda has light "port-wine" stains all over one of her legs and it kills us because we know that she will be so self-conscious about it or someone will notice it and say something that makes her feel ugly. Then I'll have to get another hammer... When they have some kind of self-esteem issue that we are trying to counter, we ask them who are the smartest people they know? "You and Daddy" Well, if the smartest people you know think you're {}, then what is the problem? Why would you listen to someone who isn't as smart? :P It works so far.
Lovely. Once again, I'd like to mention how beautiful she is, and point out how true your smile is in the photographs with the both of you together. Does she live with you?
Boo usually lives with me (and my wife), but since my wife is on complete bedrest, they are both staying at my mother-in-law's house. I'm usually Boo's caregiver from 6 am - 6 pm, and I work in between, on weekends, at night. But since my wife will not be working for several months (and also not getting paid), I'm working several jobs now, trying to make ends meet. I really miss not having my wife and daughter around.

There was also a baby deer that was much smaller, but it was too skittish to pose for the pictures.

Are those her real eyes, or was there some Photoshop magic? Either way, great photo.
