Gotta love Proust! My personal favorite is in the overture of "Swann's Way" where Marcel talks explains how "Even the simple act which we describe as 'seeing someone we know' is to some extent an intellectual process" I would quote the whole thing but it is quite a bit of text.
Regarding the post about Boo/Bob, my son went through something similar when he was three to four years old. He would tell me he did not want to be a boy anymore. Then he would put on makeup and try on boas in stores. I don't know if he ever tried out a whole female identity complete with a name, but it was still interesting. Now he does not like girls, but then again he is seven.

In addition to Boo being other people (boy, girl, or object), she now requires the folks around her to know what story, video, or situation she is referring to, and she asks, "Who are you?" She wants everyone to play at it.
Things have been hectic, especially with my wife having to take sick leave for a few months. I've been working like a maniac to make ends meet.
