..with the embarassing cover I made in Paint. Well, I don't care. Me and Kvothe are fly like that. This one is also ooooold father William and ressurecting it didn't make it more comprehensive (Devi will curse me, I know). But here's what I got, with a slight slant of How Kvothe himself sees his story, as

This is great -- everything fits really well, and I really enjoyed listening to "Bedlam Boys" and "To the Brink" and "Master of the Wind" and "I Will Not Go Quietly", and even "No Subtle Men", though neither is it a typical song for me to like nor do I care much about Denna. BUT! OMG, the bonus track is amazing! It's such a great song and fits so incredibly well that -- as I assume this is one of the Russian "minstrel" fansongs -- I wonder if some of it was written with Kvothe in mind (or does it predate the KKC books?)

Bedlam Boy was definitely a find for me, while To the Brink and I Will Not Go Quietly resulted from those bands being in my rotation a lot.
You assume correctly - the alias of the guy is Sauronych, and he has hilarious parodies on Tolkien stuff. My favourite is Черная охота, and then he did alternative texts to a few popular songs, like C воплями назгулы улетают в даль, Замыкая круг that I can't find right now.. never tried to find them on youtube, but I'll see what sort of links I can come up with later. It might be relevant to your interests! Another minstrel Tam Greenhill has a few parody duets and songs, I never was too taken with them myself (just love the straight-up stuff) but they're usually quite good, if bad recordings.
The song definitely predates Name of the Wind, though. I guess it's just a testament to Kvothe's шаблонность (? but in a good way since I don't mind at all)

P.S. I finished Matthew Swift #2, and you weren't kidding about these books being hard on their cast :((
