You know how you plan out the perfect lazy evening (I would've said 'day' a year ago...alas!)? And then something happens to utterly foil your plans?

*le sigh*

The Tudors DVD was released this past Tuesday. Now, I typically never buy anything for myself between Christmas and my birthday as they are so close. However, Jim and my mom ( Read more... )

Le Suck. How annoying. I hate it when you're looking forward to something and then you just can't do it. Bugger. You could have used a bit of a break methinks.

Oh well, they say in German that the best fun is waiting for the event, or similar. I'm sure there's something similar in Eng., but I can't think of it right now.

I could've! Especially since the only time I can watch totally uninterrupted TV is typically Friday and Saturday nights (Jim usually heads to his room those nights). Alas. Amazon has already dispatched my order though, so yay! It shall be here at the very latest by Saturday, so...next weekend.

Um...the only thing I can think of is 'good things come to those who wait', which is maybe what you were thinking of?

*hugs*

No, that's not it. The reference is to looking forward to something being more fun than the thing itself (kinda like my trip home this year).

Happy Sat.! I should be getting OotP this week, so that's what I'll be doing on Sat. as well.

I saw the ad on TV and thought of you immediately! At least you got it from Amazon, though. I remember the same thing happened last year on my b-day when the hubby went looking for season 1 of "Rome". He had called Sam Goody and had them hold it for him...but when he went to fetch it they said that 'they never hold anything for anyone', even though they told him they would. Completely sold out everywhere!

Yay for ordering though! WOOT!

LOL! Did you ever get to see The Tudors episodes? I seem to remember us looking for them online (*has a crap memory*)...

Dude, WTF Sam Goody?! Not on. I gave Rome another shot and enjoyed it quite a lot - I don't know why I didn't like it the first time I watched it.

Oh, bummer! :( Did you get to see it when it was on TV? If not, I'm sure you will really enjoy it. I hope you're able to rent it soon! :D

Underworld Evolution is a great movie though too!
