Jesus Christ. Jim just called me because he just spun across three lanes of freeway traffic and is in a ditch. Thankfully he isn't hurt and no one else is either because people were actually driving properly for once. No one even hit him

Wow. He was lucky, as in really lucky.

And he better be thankful he's not in this country because he would have A: been fined about $500 and B: had his car towed off by the police. They won't let you drive them here until you've changed the tires.

See, one of those instances where I wish it WERE a law here because then it would've been something he'd done when he should've.

Oh wow. I've actually been in Jim's boat (well, minus the bald tires), and with Julia in the car. :( Scariest thing that's ever happened to me. Neither of us were hurt, thank goodness, but I did a lot of damage to my car b/c I hit a curb going across into the right lane (it really messed up the underside of my car) and also all of the fabric inside the driver's side and my entire driver seat needed to be replaced b/c the side airbags deployed. *hugs*

BTW in my case, it was b/c a car was STOPPED in the left lane of Rt. 95- no brake lights, no hazards, and I had to swerve out of the way) the guy in front of me saw it from farther ahead, but HE only moved over at the last minute, so I was pretty toast. I'm just so grateful no cars hit me as I spun across the highway. :( :( :(

Dude, the ONE reason I'd rather live in a city is so I wouldn't have to drive. I hate cars SO much.

Husbands. Ay ay ay. Similar situation over here, but it is more to do with the overall tune up of the car. I hope it doesn't take a "lesson" to get it done. *sigh*

I'm glad he's o.k. And hopefully, this will put the fear of "god" into him so that he doesn't procrastinate on maintenance again.
