Can I participate now, instead? I have no lights on, it's daytime. I'm not about to sit in the pitch black twtddling my thumbs for an hour!

We usually have all the lights out at that time anyway...but the TV is still on...lol. Hey, we watch TV in the dark, okay?

'Fraid not. I can't imagine what I would do alone for an hour in the dark.

I have to turn the light on during the day in my apartment to read or knit, how'm I gunna do that by candlelight (I iz old)? I am very religious about always turning off lights I don't need and hitting the master swtich in the living room that turns off all the electronics. I hate that most things go into standby nowadays and can't be turned off. My TV and my DVDR are two of those. It's either plugged in on standby or unplugged. Thus, the masterswtch that turns the electricity off to all of them.
