1. I have fallen into the trap of the Twilight series and have been completely consumed by it for the past several days. I am resurfacing for a few until my Amazon order arrives with books 2 & 3. I will not waffle on about the myriad reasons this series is so appealing to me and why I'm shocked at myself that I doubted I would like it ( Read more... )

Dude, you were the proverbial nail in the coffin on my decision to read Twilight. YOUR post drew me over the line of deliberation. I thought "If Mag is loving this that much, I will love it too." THANKS MAG. ;D (No, seriously, thanks! I feel life would be somehow lacking if Edward Cullen hadn't entered it...rawr *g*. Also, y'know, Rob P....mmmmm.)

I'm ignoring your photo comment lol.

Ooh, that climby thing looks like hours of fun! We didn't have one of those but we garbage picked got one of the plastic 4-step slide thingies from a neighbor's curb a few years back. Good times.

Hahaha. If I'd found one to garbage pick, I'd be all over it. ;D

How are you? Time is drawing near!!

Time is definitely drawing near. I am feeling large and in charge... except really just the large part. And the peeing a lot part. And the complete lack of pelvic floor muscles part. And the OMG is that my cervix you're pushing on please lay off k thx part. *le sigh*

I have an ultrasound next week and will probably update my LJ then!

(And I totally haven't forgotten about the article I *will* send to you, one of these days, don't worry!)

SO good to hear from you!
Will's walking! Geez I can't believe how time flies. Don't put too much stock in how fast all those milestones hit. They all reach 'em at their own pace.
The climby thing is awesome! We had one (yellow, blue and red) in the middle of the living room when Aidan was a baby- hours of fun!
I want to see your haircut too!

Aw, thanks. I never have anything to talk about so I don't post lol.

I've been told by many moms that kids walk or talk well at this age (well, a bit younger) and not usually both. I'm sure it's nothing scientifically based, but it seems to hold true most of the time. And man, is this kid a talker! He has quite a vocabulary under his belt for such a little guy.

*ignores photo request* :P

Yay for walking Will!

Yay for TWILIGHT! A friend at work recommended the books to me a few months ago, and I am hooked. It's really weird how completely that series sucks you in, isn't it? I mean, if I step back and try to see it objectively, the whole plot is a bit daft, but that's not stopping me frothing at the mouth for the fourth book! :p

YES! See, I read this series called The Vampire Diaries when I was about 13. They sucked me in (and started my obsession with vampires that lasted about 10 years...I'm still into them, but just not as much as I was) and are very similar - young adult series...guy is a vampire...girl is not...they are in love (the stories are totally different of course), but I still read those every couple of years even though they are the cheesiest thing EVAR. That's the way I feel about Twilight lol! The first couple of chapters in I was like....I cannot believe I'm reading this: it's so bad. And then...I was just enthralled. I've read everything I could on her website (not anything with spoilers for the 2&3 books since I'm awaiting those!) in the meantime to try to tide me over lol. /patheticoness

I do not think I will be able to wait for the fourth book either!

PS, love your icon!

I've fallen into the same trap as you, darling! I just read the third book of the series, and so far the first one is my favourite. :)

Ah, he did take his time to start walking! But at least, it finally happened. ;D

Hahaha! I cannot believe how completely captivating this series is. It is ridiculous!! I'm so glad to know there are plenty of others of my friends who love it too. :D

He has been a very stubborn little boy about walking. I know he's been able to do it for quite some time...he just wouldn't give in!

Do tell! Someone lent me the first two books and I eventually bought the third one. I'm really looking forward to the fourth and last one. :DD

Some kids are like this. Some I know even start walking at 8 months old, others just wait for more than a year after they were born to start standing correctly. XD
