I am going to have to try very hard to avoid looking at this post until I have finished the book. That won't be for awhile since Amazon won't bring it to me until the 7th. Stupid me for thinking that pre-ordering it would mean they would give it to me the day it came out. Was it fabulous? That's all I need to know.

Oh, bummer about Amazon - I had originally thought to get it from them, but since I *didn't* see anything about same-day delivery, I decided it would be worth my while to hoof it to the book store.

Yes, it was fabulous. Without trying to give anything away: it was nothing I expected, but I enjoyed it overall very much. It's looooooong too: 700-something pages.

Oooh...I am intrigued and will have to do my best to patient. When I originally ordered the book I was not planning on being on vacation this week and having time to read it. Oh well. I do need to learn patience, so this must be the universe's way of helping me out. I am glad that you enjoyed it since we tend to have similar tastes. That means that I will probably like it too.

I finished it last night. Well, er, this morning, around 4am. lol

Overall, I don't think it was as good as the others, but I still enjoyed it.

Ooh, ooh, getting it today! (cos Australia is a bit behind the times!) I'll be back with commentyness! (as opposed to blatant spam such as this.)

Yay! I am still very sad for ye Australians not getting it until days after us. FAIL publishers. FAIL. But yes, definitely come talk when you're through!

Whee! Finished! So very enjoyable... the cheesiness is seriously addictive. Crikey,it was long though!

The only thing that disappointed me was that Bella adjusted so well to the becoming-a-vampire thing... I'm a sucker for angst. Guess I'll have to read OotP again.

(Renesmee is a DUMB name.)

YAY!! OMG it's SO addictive it's sad. Wasn't it long?! I almost felt at times that she wanted it longer because some stuff felt crammed in there. :O

See, I liked that Bella adjusted so well (and LMAO about our OotP comment!!!!). I've always felt that she was destined to be a vampire (for so, so many reasons) and so to me it was completely natural for her to take to it so well and so immediate. Actually my favorite part of the book was when she was learning to become a vampire!

Renesmee is a lame-ass name, though I'm no fan of 'Bella' either (Meyer needs a lesson on less MarySue-ish names ( ... )

OKAY YAY! Overall, I liked it. It wasn't as gripping to me as the rest of the series, but I still was page-turning and needed to finish. It all wrapped up nicely, which is what I was expecting. Mag had the perfect words for it - that it finished and didn't leave me wanting more, which was a good thing ( ... )

Overall I liked it too, but I agree with you - it wasn't as gripping as the rest of the series, and tehre wasn't enough Edward. I also felt like the whole pregnancy thing was a bit like a few fanfics I had read, and didn't Smeyer say in an interview somewhere that vampires can't have kids? Maybe she was being deceptive - maybe she just meant female vampires can't have kids. Shrugs. I agree with you too about the sex. How are we supposed to live vicariously through fictional characters if we don't get to see em bumping uglies? At least a little bit, please. Lol. Those scenes in Eclipse are some of my favourites - I can read them over and over ( ... )
