and now for some laughs
I must share this complete comedy of packaging I just received a gift in via UPS because I have been laughing hysterically for the past hour about it.
My gift was these fabulous mugs:
These mugs were enshrined in bubble wrap. And tape. Lots of tape. Oh, and a plastic bag (this is for each mug, mind):
The bubble-wrapped mugs were wedged tightly into these small cardboard boxes:
These small cardboard boxes were each in a medium-sized flimsy cardboard box amongst mountains of tissue paper:
No...I'm not done yet. These two medium-boxes were inside a large cardboard box along with a fuckton of packaging material:
And, for better perspective, here is one of the mugs (there were just two, to remind you - it's not as if they were part of a complete dining set...) next to that outermost box (along with one of William's shoes, evidently):
Finally, after I took a break from laughing, I inspected the mugs closer (and dove around for the card, so I knew who they actually came from!) and discovered they're magic!:

The UPS man also delivered my copy of The Tales of Beedle the Bard, so I cannot wait until I have some time tonight to read it! And now, I'm off to have tea in my new mug.
