I am... kind of freaked out.

ALSO-- HO SNAPS INSTRUCTABLES WHY MUST YOU APPEAL TO MY NERDY SIDE SO MUCH??!?!

Now I have the urge to make myself a cheap pair of steampunk goggles.

Or a trebuchet out of office supplies.

Nah, you go it all wrong. The FBI signals are usually jazz or classic rock.

The CIA signals are classical.

Instructables is being over complicated for their steampunk goggles.

Just go buy a pair of welding goggles. Something like this, and then paint it to look more steam punky--maybe add some extraneous bits here and there--and then replace the lenses with normal glass--or even prescription lenses if you can get your hands on them.
