Trying out Shaiya

I am trying out Shaiya, a free MMORPG found here: http://shaiya.aeriagames.com/

I've never played WOW, but it sounds very much like it.  Here is my character, Jen Zi.  There is not a whole lot of variation possible in the characters (they should learn from SL, or even Oblivion).

I gave this one a go today. As a WoWer, I have to say I found that the interface and the graphics got to me a little bit. They have done very well with the detail on the character models, and also on the monsters(The few that I saw had nice flowing animations)

But there was something about the look and feel of the rest of the game that didn't sit right with me. *shrugs*

If you like this however, I think you'd like silk road online. The two games have a very similar feel to them. SRO felt more mature* to me when I played it though.

*As in more work had been put into the game, not as in mature content ^_^
