I think I like the José González version best but that could be because that's the version on the Jarora playlist. /biased

Haha, I can dig that. I just like the S&KB version because it sounds... fairytale-ish? Sad and hopeful. Plus, I have a thing for choirs, lol!

But yes. I really liked this. :D

Thanks so much for reading it (and enjoying it)!

You know I have a not-so-secret love for Sam/Mercedes, and their interaction here proves exactly why. He's sweet and a little traditional, and she's a strong, independent girl who sort of wants a little traditional. Nothing wrong with that, Mercedes!
Ugh, this was so sweet. SO SWEET. I loved everything about it. Especially, weirdly, the detail about her gramma telling her stories about weird veins in her hands, because that's how I always imagine Mercedes' family.
PS: Dude, my title on that porn I posted last night was from a JESSICA SIMPSON song. You have nothing to be embarrassed about here. (And I loved the Beiber reference. ::hearthands::)

I'm really glad you enjoyed it! I'm falling in love with Sam/Mercedes too (I tried not to!), and Mercedes seems like the most stable kid in the glee club, which is something Sam could appreciate, you know?
(And aw, Sam is from the south, so I like to think he has that charming southern gentleman thing going for him... even if it is a myth, whatever!)

Love the Jackson Rippner reference, and isn't Jayma Mays in that movie too? God what's it called...
This was so sweet and I am going to believe that this is what happened at the end of the night.

Red Eye! She is in it! I completely forgot about that (it's been a couple of years) -- I feel like she's been following me with everything I watch, ahh!

I love the idea of Sam and Mercedes as friends and just that little bit more that high school is all about.
Fairy tales aren't something that girls/women actually ever outgrow. We just try to tell ourselves that we do.
