Stupid Grocery Store!

As you know, we had a hurricane bimble through the area...well, near the area. And true to classic DC over-reaction, many people swarmed the grocery store to stock up on goods that would take them through any potentially electricity-less days. I thoroughly approve of the word "bimble". All right, that's not much of a comment, but my experience of hurricanes (zero) rather handicaps me here...

Sounds familiar to me. Frequently when I lived in MA, the main way I knew a storm was heading our way was that there would be long lines at the grocery store and very little food. I would foolishly go in to do my weekly shopping and just be astonished--and these were not huge storms.

We also had a store that had the following printed on its door:
"OPEN 24 HOURS
Monday-Friday 8am-11pm
Saturday 9am - 9pm
Sunday 12pm - 5pm"
