I'm listening to some young men practice their drum rhythms by speaking them, across the street in the park. Delightful. I believe they are doing this on their own time, without an instructor.

Are those Indian drummers? They seem to be speaking the language of the tabla.
Good to hear that yer man is a-mending.

I may be a little mopey anyway, but yeah, he's on the mend. And they weren't Indian drummers...maybe their instructor is a tabla player. I think all drum line instructors have a similar language of the syllables.
