U-haul Review

We rented a U-haul last Sunday, so we could get some furniture that would not fit into either of our vehicles from Costco to our house. The truck worked fine, was mechanically better than in most U-haul experiences I've come across, but the experience of dealing with the rental was very unpleasant

Did you consider taking pictures of the truck before rental?

I considered it.

I did not have any worthwhile camera with me (my phone camera is really mediocre and would not show everything), and it would have taken hundreds of pictures to show all the damage. I would then, if pushed, potentially have to prove that they were taken before I took charge of the vehicle.

Really, though, if they want to threaten dire consequences (hundreds of dollars for a decal being scratched) then they need to /actually fix/ problems or it's just extortion.
