Mavericks Gripes: Solutions, anyone?

I have found two great annoyances with Mavericks (latest OS X release) in the past 2 days

There is a way to switch spaces when screen sharing. Activate Mission Control, either from in your dock or Spotlight, and then switch to the appropriate space from there. Yeah, it's not particularly quick, but it does work.
