m1 means you can only drive during daylight hours, nothings else, no other people. why you interested lol?

Just wondering. I'm training for my G2 right now so naturally I'm curious. I know that an M2 gives you the privileges of a G1 too...
So you take the theory test and then what does that give you? M1? Isn't there a stepping stone in between those though?
