You don't have to reapply if your character is approved. Just join the communities under your character journal and I think they'll let you in? Oh and go here and fill out the little thingie with your name and your character's name/LJ etc.
It's fun so far! And I haven't even really done much. Oh and if you have AIM it helps if you jump in to the "drunkoncheese" chats. That's where you can find people to thread with and stuff. Though they get a little loony in there - ESPECIALLY on Wednesday nights when they're all watching Lost (I don't watch it, so I don't think I'll be going in there on a Wednesday again!)
Totally commenting before Izzy is approved to say... same year and house, yeah! And Izzy's family lives in London, too, so maybe they met before Hogwarts? :)
Hey! I added you. Yeah I'm sure they would know each other. I wonder if they would like each other? Max is a pretty easygoing, laid-back kid - she might find him annoying though? I'm not around a ton but I like to throw him in classroom threads sometimes when I'm slacking at work :) Feel free to have her pester him whenever!
Oh, Izzy is totally friendly. He might be annoyed by her because she's kind of.. blunt and energetic and basically just doesn't shut up. But she's also adorable and loads of fun and... Gryff firsties have to stick together? :P
