I know exactly how you feel because it’s the same way I feel every time you get an award or recognition for something and I don’t, when we both put similar amounts of work and effort into it ( ... )

I feel like that all the time, it's like everyone is step ahead of you, or at least everyone else thinks that, but if they would just sto and think about it, theyre not really ahead of you, and everyone is just being stupid
ugh.

kudos for putting up the signs -- it takes guts.

don't rag on yourself for letting it out. it's tough, and hard to take for anyone. it's not being weak or unnecessarily emotional -- it's being human. not to mention all of the stress you seem to be under, along with the burden of a close-minded school... give yourself a break and stop apologizing for feeling something now and then.

and even more kudos for putting up the signs.

You are worth so much, you are a hero inthe making. And you should never have to suffer te way your school is making you, but you will be a far finer person for the fire through which you now walk.

It sux about NHS, and I wonder if you couldn't get in touch with somebody (Lambda Legal?) about a discrimination suit.

If you want, I'll give you my copy of the poem, so you don't have one with graffiti. Actually, if that's what you'd wanted, I'd definately trade (except yours is autographed differently) because I think it's damn awesome and a good source of pride to survive commentary like you're receiving. Sexy, almost. It definately doesn't feel like it at the time, and I'm far from nostalgic, just... a reminder that it's not about pretty words or discrimination "somewhere else" --it's a poem about the bigots right there in your town.
