The Top Ten British Villains In Movie HistoryCouldn´t agree more, especially to Nr 1, Laurence Olivier as Richard III (though Basil Rathbone topped his Richard in "The Tower Of London"); Nr 2, Peter Cushing as Grand Moff Tarkin in "Star Wars" (ÜBERSQUEE and swoon galore, oh yes. Bite me), Nr 3: Christopher Lee as Dracula, and Nr 5: Basil Rathbone *

Funny how a lot of people think that gentleman ought to play Robin to RC's Sheriff. But nobody has a clue...

Swiv saw her docked last year, and I SO wished she´d be out again sometime in the future - they must have done those repairs really fast!!
(and if she´s seaworthy, that could have a lot of possibly very happy implications and we still can hope, can´t we??)

I really wish I had the ear to appreciate the enormous work that goes into faking accents convincingly, but I can´t tell Cockney from a hole in the throat. Like most foreigners, probably, I´m happy if I can say Yep, it´s English - and actually grok what they´re saying *shuffles feet*

East of the Alps, whoever manages to speak like Lugosi deserves a medal *g* It´s really, really hard on the teeth and the lips of guttural-used Bohunks to articulate properly in English.

There´s a series of the 50s-60s? I knew about the 90s one, which was camp enough (all wigs and no personality; the Muppets´d have done a far better job). I still love the old one to pieces, especially Rathbone and Claude Rains´ juicy King John, it can´t really be topped so I wonder Crowe got baited into doing a remake (*if* it´s meant to be a remake?).
