I had a good friend named Elijah back in the day.

I thought Ezra was a chick.

You could steal Adam's name and go Jack.

That would be epic.

Ha I like Jack, but it's SO common. Jennifer wouldn't ever go for it.

Of those choices I like Elijah the best.
Do you want a nickname? If so, Josiah would be shortened to Joe.

I dont think I care for Ezra. I cant decide if I like it or not. (forgive me if you pick that one)

I had an Elijah lean, but can live with Ezra. Not feeling Joe at all.

Congrats on the WWF win!

Ezra sounds really girly.
I like Elijah, although it's a little common, but carries significant meaning.

What about Jeremiah? Jeremiah Thomas Couchman sounds really good together :)

Yeah Elijah was my original pic, and Jennifer used to LOVE it, but we've met a few Elijah's since then.

Jeremiah would be cool, but we don't like the "Jeremy" nickname.

I actually like Josiah best because your other two choices begin with the letter E, but you already have another child whose name begins with an E. For variety, Josiah would present a third, new letter to the mix and provide more individual identity. As an example, in my family, I have a set of three cousins whose names all begin with "Ch." Because there are two boys in that family, people frequently mix up their names (it's obviously easier to remember the female name out of the three of them), so it's a constant, "No, I'm so-and-so." If you're looking to make sure that your kids all have unique names, it's also important to make sure they are not just unique from all the other non-Hebrew names, but also unique from one another.

I don't have kids, but I sympathize with your plight here. As a teacher, tons of names are 'ruined' for me on a semesterly basis, so I'm constantly keeping running lists of unique, creative names-I-could-stand, if I should ever adopt.

Yeah it's totally not fair how people we sometimes briefly know can wreck a name forever.

Bet your list keeps getting smaller with each year you teach!
