Chapter One
"I hate Valentine's Day." Kyuhyun mumbled, dipping his teeth into an apple. "It's horrible to see all this couples on the streets when I don't even have a girlfriend."
It was morning and eleven members of the boysband Super Junior were sitting in the living room of one of their dorms, being greatly bored, although the day had just started. Everyone they knew had big plans for this 'special' day - having a lovable time with their sweethearts. Even their manager, who has always been sooo busy, took a day off to spend it in the arms of his beloved fiancee.
What were Super Junior supposed to do? Of course they didn't have any girlfriends. They couldn't, the company would kill them if it leaked out - so many crazy fangirls' hearts would be broken! It would be a scandal! "If you want to date someone", they have been told by the management, "do it with yourself. That's the only eventuality that fans could accept. Moreover - they would love it!"
How could they joke about them in such an annoying way? They had enough of this boys couple stupidity! What's so great about this anyway? Aiiish, so annoying, so annoying.
Back to the topic, our boys were simply bored at this moment. They could do it this way that everyone would just do their things and don't care about the others but to be honest, nobody really knew what to do alone. Being alone on Valentine's Day? Nooo... That didn't sound good to them. They had to plan something that would involve all of them being together so they could comfort themselves on this stupid and unnecessary day.
"We all should go somewhere to get a bit of entertainment." Yesung told the others.
"Any suggestions?"
"Well... How about going to the amusement park together?" Shindong shouted suddenly, making all ten pairs of eyes looking at him. Seeing their skeptical looks, he sighed and shrugged. "It was only an idea."
"We can't go anywhere with all of us, I would say. Remember how our last trip to the park ended?" Kangin asked and all boys bursted out laughing.
"At least it was fun..." Sungmin whispered, smiling widely.
"Was it really fun to you to clean up the whole park until morning?! They accused us of being a group of anarchists who wanted to destroy their superb attractions!" Kangin exclaimed and everyone agreed with him.
They definitely shouldn't go anywhere together.
This day seemed to go on as a disaster - they would end up sitting home all day and complaining about everything, while so many sweet couples in this world would be having the best day of their lives!
"I know, I know, I know!" Leeteuk stood up and waved his arms to make everybody pay attention to him. Silence fell into the room and the members observed him hopefully. Right! The leader always had good ideas, he would rescue their day! Teukie suddenly felt like a mother taking care of her bored children.
"Let's make couples and go on various dates."
...silence.
And then...
"Are you insane?"
"Did you drink, hyung?"
"You are a fangirl as well, aren't you, hyung?!"
"Silence!" Kangin shouted and the young men instantaneously stopped talking. He always could calm down all the members when they got a bit out of control, just like a head of a family.
"Thank you, Kangin. You all should listen to me till the end! My idea is good but you all seem to have hidden thoughts about it. It's not like this! I don't mean real dates but simply hanging out together with another member to get to know him better! As friends, you fools."
Leeteuk's words created big commotion in the living room. The members didn't know what to think about his idea - it sounded so gay at first but now that he explained what he really meant, it didn't seem to be so bad. Nah, they usually spent a lot of time in pairs so it wouldn't be anything new to them. Why not? They could do anything - simply talk, go drink a beer or see a horror movie or something like that. Without causing chaos like they would if they'd go with all the eleven members.
"Fine for me" Eunhyuk said and moved towards Donghae, his best friend.
"Nice!" Sungmin smiled cheerfully and looked at Kyuhyun, hoping he could drink some wine with him.
"No prob" Yesung hugged his roommate Ryeowook to show that he already 'booked' him for this day.
"Hanni, let's go shopping!" Heechul started to dance through the room and make weird noises.
The leader sighed and shook his head in disbelief. "You so don't get it, fools! I meant spending time not with your best friends but with members that you usually don't talk a lot to! What's the point of hanging out with your buddy? You do it everyday. It's no fun."
Everyone made big eyes at him. WHAT? So this was the evil plan of the leader? They should have guessed it earlier! Teukie always complained that his mates followed the 'typical couples'-schema and never got to know the other members better. Some of the members didn't really talk much with each other so he, as the best leader in this world, always wanted to change this.
It was the perfect opportunity for him to do so this day.
"But Teukie! I desperately need Hanni's help in choosing cool clothes for me! Come on!" Heechul made puppy eyes at the eldest but it didn't work. When Leeteuk once decided something, the other had to follow his words and don't object. He was just too stubborn, what the members had to feel painfully on themselves.
Kangin, who was like Leeteuk's bodyguard, implicated this to the others by emphasizing:
"What leader says - members do. Finito."
"I really hate you sometimes, Kangin" Eunhyuk murmured under his breath and the elder looked towards him.
"What?"
"No, nothing, I said that you are so great, hyung" he clapped his hands and smiled falsely.
That's how Super Junior's weird Valentine's Day began. The couples had to go out for the whole day and get to know themselves better, at the end of the day though they all planned to come back to their dorms and have a mini-party all together.
It was decided. Leeteuk had chosen the couples what once again caused big commotion but Kangin repeated his "What leader says - members do" and everybody agreed with hidden dissatisfaction. Damn, the KangTeuk brothers had way too much influence on them!
Kyuhyun and Kangin.
Leeteuk and Hangeng.
Sungmin and Heechul.
Eunhyuk and Yesung.
Donghae and Shindong.
There was no come back, it was set. Poor Wookie was left so he decided to stay at home and prepare the dorm for their final party. Actually he was glad to cook a bit since it was his hobby. "It's fine, hyungs" he said with a smile on his face. "Finally I have the opportunity to experiment with new dishes."
So let the show begin!
