Part Three: The Decision
"Eunhyukkie? Are you sleeping already?"

Sungmin opened the door a little bit, trying to take a peek inside to see if it's the right moment to disturb his friend or if he should better leave. However, the lights were on and Hyukjae was sitting at his desk, being busy doing something at his laptop. When he heard Min's voice, he turned towards the door and sent him a light smile.

"As you can see, nope. Come in."

The young man stepped inside and when the lights of the lamps lit up his face, Eunhyuk even jumped up from his seat. Sungmin looked like something the cat brought in. That means - really, really bad.

"Aigo, your face! Min, what happened?" the younger one went towards his friend and sent him worried looks. Still, the latter didn't say anything, he just shrugged, kept his bedding tightly with him and took a seat on Eunhyuk's bed.
Hyuk thought about this for a while and then remembered what was going on recently - so he asked:

"You and Kyu had a quarrel again?"

"Yes. Something like that." Sungmin's voice was cold and falsely unshakable.

"Aish, this maknae... He should learn how to treat you better..."

"Ahhh, Hyukkie." Sungmin interrupted his friend and only shook his head. "It's my fault this time. I'm an idiot, you know."

Eunhyuk watched Min startled and didn't know what to think about the latter's words. Something must have been really wrong, Sungmin wouldn't accuse himself so easily. He knew him too well.
Scratching his head in big surprise, he came closer to the bed and also sat down on it, next to the elder.

"Don't say so... Do you want to talk about it?" he proposed and Sungmin turned his head into his direction.

"That's why I'm here." he tried to put a light smile on his face, despite his bad condition. "Can I stay here for the night?"

That's not a good idea, Hyukjae thought immediately and a red alarm light lit up in his head. But he couldn't simply refuse his friend, too, that's why he tried to kindly persuade:

"Uhm... yeah, sure... But..." he stopped for a moment and took a deep breath. "...don't you think that will only make things worse? I mean... between you and Kyu..."

"I don't care." Sungmin answered quickly and decisively. "It was always me who ran after him like a lost puppy. Me who tried to get him back, me who was fighting for us, for our love. I was being careful, I made simply everything to keep this relationship intact. And now? I made one mistake, one stupid, little mistake... after everything... aish..."

He broke off his speach and gritted his teeth strongly, trying to calm down himself. Thinking about the whole situation made him want to scream, cry, toss around, anything which could help him get rid of those damn emotions - but he couldn't. He had to stay calm and strong, otherwise he could easily fall into some kind of depression... which was the last thing he wanted to do.

Eunhyuk observed his friend with a heartache. How much he wanted to go into Kyumin's room at that moment and kick the maknae's ass! He couldn't stand seeing his beloved Sungmin in a state like this, he had to do something.
But was it really a good idea to meddle into their quarrel? They should solve this case by themselves, shouldn't they?
And first of all, Minnie really shouldn't be here. I want to help him... But Kyu will be really mad when he stays here for the night.

"Calm down, hey. I'm sure everything will be fine in a few days or so, you two love each other too much. I can see that. Everyone sees that. But you really shouldn't do this to Kyu now. You should go back there."

"No, Hyukkie!" Sungmin rose his voice and shook his head energetically. "I'm tired! Sick and tired of running after him! I want to see his love, his feelings, his true emotions! Sometimes I think this all is just a game for him, you know?"

"A game...?"

"It all started with this stupid fanservice matter. He wants more of it, pwah! WHY? Is this love really just a show for him?" the elder's voice started to sound very desperate.

"I don't think so, hyung..."

"But I sometimes do! And I'm so sick of it! I won't fight for this anymore. I will wait for him now. Even if I have to wait for the rest of my life."

"But Min-"

"No, I'm done with it." Sungmin continued resolutely. "I tried a lot to get his attention and he did simply nothing. Now I want to see him jealous, furious, whatever - I want him to fight for me. And I will get what I want. If not... it will mean that he totally doesn't care about me and that I should probably leave him."

"Whaaat, MIN! Are you sure..." Eunhyuk stared at him with disbelief.

"Yes. This will be the best now. I won't be always the first to make up. He should learn how to do so, too."

Hyukjae was deeply shocked about the other one's decision. But Sungmin looked really determined. The younger one had a bad feeling about this all, he knew that everything started to get out of control.

He really had to help them, no matter whether Kyu would get pissed off for butting into their case or not. That lasted for too long now and he couldn't watch it anymore.

He had only one wish: to see his friends happy again.
Was it really so hard to fulfill this?

One week. I give them one week and then I'll start doing something about this.

After that night, things didn't change at all, there was still war between the couple. Sungmin started to sleep over at Eunhyuk's room now, trying to avoid Kyuhyun as much as he could. That of course made the other one boil inside and get raging as hell, yet he didn't do anything about it. He let his anger out, playing computer games all the time when they were at the dorm, making the other members really worried about him. But everyone knew that the Kyumin couple was having a tough time so they tried to help them - though only Min wanted to talk to them, Kyu ignored them as much as he ignored his boyfriend.

"I really wanted to make up with him" he mumbled to himself, killing some monsters in his game. "Really. But now... this is just too much."

He let out a blast of air and concentrated on his murdering. But he was still mumbling under his breath.

"Did he really thought that he could soothe the case by simply sleeping with me? Tst. I would never agree to something pathetic like that."

He squinted his eyes and started to bite his lower lip, sending a bomb at the group of monsters.

"And now, with Eunhyuk... They are best friends... But... How can he do this to me! No, after this I definitely won't forgive him so easily."

The stubbornness in Kyuhyun awoke this way again. One of the monsters on the screen was in the middle of killing his own army now so he let out a loud "aish" of him and banged furiously the keys on his keyboard.

This situation sucks.

Sungmin opened his eyes and looked around. Where am I?, was his first thought and he yawned sleepily. When he turned his head and saw Eunhyuk lying next to him who was cuddling his plushies and sleeping with his mouth wide open, he couldn't hold back a grin.
Then he remembered how he had spent almost a week at this place, sleeping here every night close to his friend who had always taken great care of him and tried to help him out with his situation.

"You are the best friend I could ever have, Hyukkie" the elder mumbled and patted the other one gently on the head. "I think Kyuhyun could learn a lot from you."

He put his feet into a pair of pink slippers and sat down on the edge of the bed, stretching his body a bit. After a while he finally stood up and left this room, heading to the bathroom.

"Oh no" he whispered then, seeing a way too familiar person also directing towards the same room. It was definitely bad luck for Sungmin to meet him at a moment like this, when the whole dorm was immersed in deep silence and nobody else was around. But it was obvious that after so much avoiding they would finally bump into each other at an unwanted time and place...

He tried to take a few steps back and simply flee without being noticed but it was too late. Kyuhyun glued his eyes onto Sungmin and put a fake smirk on his face.

"Having a nice time with your new lover?"

The irony in the maknae's voice killed Sungmin inside but he decided to act just the same way the other one did - cold and impassive.

"Sure. The best days of my life. Jealous?" He crossed his arms and stared at Kyuhyun with a blank expression.

"Not at all." Kyuhyun answered innocently, taking some steps towards the wall and leaned his back on it. "Why should I be?"

"Let me see..." Sungmin rose a finger and put it to his chin, acting as if he was thinking about something deeply. "Maybe... No... Wait, I think I know it..." He finally put his finger back, stopped acting and sent Kyuhyun a mad look. "Because I'm still your fuckin' boyfriend?!"

"Are you?"

That question shocked the elder so much that he even lurched and almost fell down on the floor but he quickly gained his balance back. He eyed Kyuhyun startled and didn't know what to say.
Did he mishear the other one's words?
No... Kyuhyun really...
Oh my god. Sungmin finally felt how his eyes got watery, he couldn't take this anymore. He had tried weeks to hold his tears back, to be strong, manly and composed - but he got to the point where he couldn't fight with his emotions anymore. Too much anger, too much sorrow. The Sungmin who never cried had a broken spirit at last.

"Am I not?" he asked quietly, without any strength.

Kyuhyun stared at the distracted Sungmin with pursed lips and awkward silence filled the room, making the whole area seem to be peaceful and undisturbed for a while.
