Yeah, I dunno either. Still not buying a (still grossly overpriced) PS3 for all of two games, so best I can hope for is a PC port, otherwise, I'm more than likely not going to play it. I haven't even been on XI in over a month, and I don't really miss it. I had to change my debit card recently, and I've been too lazy/busy to update my profile with the new one. I've mostly kept up with it for the sake of handling XI apps on FFMux anyway... not that anyone ever apps the major NPCs.

The FFXIV site says for Windows and PS3, so I wouldn't worry about having to buy a PS3 for the game.

I miss FFXI sometimes, but then I stop to think about how much money I spent on the game (and MMO's in general), and I kinda shudder. XD

Sam and I are playing beta too. D: I have the Chinese beta but I only did character customization with it. For all the praise the character creation gets, it's not as broad as I was expecting, to be honest.

Aion's pretty sweet. Some friends and I jumped through a few hoops to get into the Chinese beta, so we played it for about a week. The combat is a lot faster-paced than FFXI, so much so that you can't really talk (type) to other people while fighting. Ventrilo's probably gonna end up being pretty important. It's pretty solo friendly, though there are certain cases when you really do need to party up, like if you want to take on Elite mobs. Pretty cool idea, you get quests you can easily solo up until level 15ish or something, and then you get a quest/mission line where you have to go do stuff in a camp of Elite enemies. These guys are only level 17ish, but the fact that they have "Elite" in their name apparently makes them super strong. You don't have to do those quests and missions right away, but if you take the time to party and do them, the rewards are awesome. My friend and I managed to put together a party of Chinese people and get it done, it was pretty cool.

Yeah, I played the chinese beta for a few days. Got to level 10 as an assassin and decided to call it quits since it was just myself playing around - and assassin's are nice and squishy so things were eating me up.

I plan on playing a spirit master this weekend to give this game's version of summoner a shot. I just wish we could play as Asmodian's as well as the Elyos.

Maybe I'll see you guys this weekend in-game!
