Custom X Compose key combinations

I talked about the Compose Key before

I wanted to add more characters to the list. Specifically, I wanted to enter the Greek character π, as well as having a shortcut to enter ☠.

So I looked around and found an example XCompose file for greek characters.

Ah, on my linux box it looks right. On my Windows 2000 box IE6 shows them (skull and frowny) as the no-such-character-in-this-font box, and FF2 shows them as ?. On my Mac box, FF2 shows them as ?, and Safari shows the proper characters.
