Oddly enough, I was recently trying to figure that out myself. All I found were references to wearing two baldrics, crossed, or wearing a baldric and a bandolier. For ribbon baldrics, crossed, you can find 'Morris Baldrics'. I learned a double baldric was a single baldric with two holsters. Not helpful.
Do you have a concrete historic uniform featuring such a crossed baldric? If so, maybe you can find out via historical uniform sites? Let me know if you figure it out. I bothered me immensely that there is not an easily findable answer to this.
Nope, this is for an illustration out of one of the Oz books. I'm not sure there ever was any such thing worn on a historical uniform- I just have this "color guard" image in my head. More substantial than a morris baldric, but it looks like I'll just have to make my own whatever it is. Thanks!!
