Ack, that sucks. I once missed a free lecture on Tokugawa-era torture, and I am still kicking myself for it. And I didn't even have to pay for a ticket. -_-

Doesn't it blow your mind that there are people out there who know enough about something that cool that they can lecture on it???

Although I must say, thanks to recent events in our country's history, my taste for torture has gone way down.

Torture is one of those things that's fun in the abstract, but very, very shitty if it actually happens.
