[FANFIC] Waiting For Yesterday

Summary: Yesterday he was happy; he waits for it again.
It’s like yesterday.
Just yesterday.
It felt like it, when Junsu spun around on his heels, eyes sparkling, face glowing we won guys, we won Jaejoong stood beside him, not breathing, shivering not because of the cold, Changmin on one end shaking, tears spilling and Yoochun stood at the very end, grinning like an idiot; like a proud idiot.
It felt like yesterday when he walked towards the stage, hand tight around Jaejoong’s, bowing down to everyone and anyone who congratulated the group, the look on his members’ face, the way the cheers of the fans echoed through the open stadium; it was their moment.
It felt like yesterday when he pulled them all into one big hug, Changmin quietly shaking and sobbing, Jaejoong gently teasing the youngest, Yoochun looking giddy with pleasure and Junsu, living in the moment, like this what he had trudged his whole life for, this, with the five of them; this, with Cassiopeia, like this, maybe forever.
It felt like yesterday when Yunho had Jaejoong in his arms, soft, hot breathes against Yunho’s cold skin; we did it Jaejoong’s voice floated into Yunho’s ears, unheard to anyone; damn right we did Yunho had whispered back They were kings and the stage, their kingdom.
It was all just like yesterday, till he woke up with a jolt; sweating, panting, trying to breathe; he grabbed the glass of water by his bed and gulped it down quickly; everything was yesterday, everything was all just yesterday. He slumped against his head board and closed his eyes and for a split second wondered, how everything would have been different if they were still five.
They wouldn’t have been two years late with the album, they would have those ridiculous (which were not so ridiculous) couple talk, they would have had All About Dong Bang Shin Ki Season 3 (or was it 4?), they would probably have talked about what they did in their dorms, how Junsu woke them up with video games, how Changmin worried about everything and anything, about how Jaejoong would glide across the living room, humming their song and Yoochun would harmonize with Jaejoong. They would travel together, go to shows together, stand together, be together; if they were still five, they would be five.
Changmin doesn’t say anything, neither does he; but they are comfortable together, they travel in the same van, Jaejoong’s blue elephant is on the back seat forgotten and Junsu’s jacket which was thought to be lost is under the seat and Yoochun’s music sheets littered the car flooring, but they kept it that way; they - the new Dong Bang Shin Ki, the new kings, two who wanted to be equal to five.
It felt like yesterday and if yesterday was so good, Yunho thinks he can wait for it to return, wait for yesterday all over again.
